Master Armor, France, 18th Century

Entirely hand-shaped in wrought iron, exceptional mastery armor demonstrating the know-how of the French smith craftsman.

Armor, known as the harness, of which all the pieces are forged: armet, gorgerin, plastron, spalières, cubitières, gantelets, poacher, flancart, cuissots, knee pads, beaches and solerets.

The harness is the best known armor of those of the knights, due to its technical performance, it remains in use from the 13th century to the 17th century and was the last medieval armor used.

The harness is the knight's armor par excellence. Technically the most efficient of knight's armor, the harness corresponds to what the figure of the knight on horseback spontaneously evokes.

With her extraordinary sword, she measures:

Total height 48.5 cm

Base 18.5 cm x 13.5 cm

Width of the end from one elbow to the other 19 cm

The sword is 26.5 cm

The well-proportioned quillons are each 3.5 cm with a ricasso of one centimeter.

The rocket or so-called handle is finely turned ebony.

The pants are made of finely tanned skin.
