19th Century Games Table In Marquetry
Mahogany and marquetry games table. The board is decorated with a checkerboard deck as well as four playing cards (seven of spades, Jack of clubs, Ace of hearts, king of diamonds).
The rotating top opens and transforms into a games table (mat to be replaced).
On the front two drawers on either side, in the center a pull.
We also find two trompe-l'oeil holders representing the spines of leather books.
This piece of furniture has 4 spindle legs resting on small copper shoes.
