Oil on panel representing 3 beguines in a cobbled alley of the Kortrijk beguinage. In the distance, the Notre Dame Church. This beguinage was founded by the Countess of Flanders, Joan of Constantinople, in 1238. The 41 current houses date from the 17th century. This painting is anonymous but of very good quality of execution. It dates from the 30s/50s. It is in very good original condition. The silver leaf frame bears some traces of time.
