Gilt bronze pendulum with silk suspension movement. Composition “Amor in a melancholic pose”, similar pendulum (not supported by a dog) described in Elke Niehüser, die französchisce bronze uhr on page 104 from around 1810/1820. Dial signed: Chambrot in Paris (Tardy ca 1820) The pendulum runs and strikes but the movement has not been cleaned. Light wear around the dial winding holes.
