Rare or at least unusual flat box in painted beech with flap lid decorated with two large birds surrounding a two-tone heart, the interior divided into three compartments. Norman folk art from the first half of the 19th century. Inscriptions in ink visible under the cover, possibly suggesting commercial use. Dimensions: length 33 cm - depth 21 cm - height 7.5 cm. Charming object in good general condition.
