Saint John the Baptist holding his prophet's staff, posed in slight contrapposto, accompanied by his lamb, the saint's traditional attribute. Carved and blackened wood, with a beautiful antique patina and natural wear. Likely a provincial work dating from the late 17th or early 18th century. Dimensions: height 33 cm. Good overall condition. Minor wear, cracks, and losses consistent with age are noted. Old hole under the base (from previous assembly).
