Three studies on the same sheet of a seated figure titled on the largest three sunsets dedicated to Raymond Roussel. Lucien Coutaud (1904-1977) is known as a painter but also as a theater decorator. Book illustrator and tapestry maker. The smallest is signed lower left and dated 10 7 44, the sheet signed and dated lower left 1945. The work is framed in a modern wooden frame and measures 36.5x50.5 cm.
