"Very Rare Carré d'Hermès "noble And Very Old Golf Game" By Hugo Grygkar - Paris Circa 1953"

Circa 1953 France A Vintage silk square from Hermès entitled "Noble and Very Ancient Game of Golf" by Hugo Grygkar dating from the unique edition of 1953. Square in printed fluid silk twill and hand-rolled edges in tones teal, cream, red and blue. Motifs representing rural scenes from the first Golf and Country Club games in the 18th century. This very rare and sought-after Carré d'Hermès is clean and has no holes, however unfortunately, it has red and blue migration halos due to washing (see the defects in the last four photos). Condition of use. Very rare collectible item only. Rating indicating Very Rare and Very Sought after in the square art book of Hermès by Geneviève Fontan at ARFON 2017 on page 165. Dimensions: 89 cm x 85 cm.
