Monstrance Reliquary Of Saint Valery - 18th Century
Our monstrance is made of silver-plated brass, embossed and hammered. This is an 18th century Austrian work to the glory of Saint Valery and Saint Felix Martyr. Saint Valery was a priest in the 7th century and attracted a large number of disciples to the eremitical life.
The relics are presented in a quatrefoil niche, on a red velvet background. They are surrounded by a montage of silver wiring.
On the back three seals protect the bagged relics. They are made of red wax stamped with the arms of a cardinal.
