Renaissance Style Secretary
Charming secretary desk in carved and molded walnut. It opens with a flap and two secret drawers on the front. Cornice with guilloche, ogee and inverted cavet, uprights with fluted columns. The flap panel with scrolls and shells, medallion with putti. Maple veneer interior, four drawers, leather top edged with gilding. The lower open part, paneled background with fluting, feathers and oval fleuron. Openwork gallery of balusters, smooth columns, spinning top feet. Pink marble top. Made of oak, walnut and quality manufacturing. To be compared to the productions of Honoré Dufin. Around 1880. Height 147 cm, width 79 cm, depth 48 cm.
