A rare (heavy), high quality lead strap end with a griffin on both sides. In very good shape. Very expressive piece. Found in Bishop Burton (UK) Dimensions: 4.2x2 cm. Griffins are one of the most powerful and renowned mythological creatures. They have the head and wings of an eagle, and the body and tail of a lion. They symbolize strength, courage and boldness and are attracted to the fiercest monsters.
