Knottekisje Wedding Box Sterling Silver
Knottekisje or wedding box. In the popular tradition of the 17th century in Friesland, this box was used to place wedding rings at weddings. It is made of solid silver decorated with scenes in cartridges. This model is from the 19th century in the spirit of the 17th century. The hallmarks are not identified. Very good state.
