Rigoberto Soler (1896-1968) trained at the School of Arts and Crafts, then at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts, both in Valencia. In 1925 he moved to the island of Ibiza, where he painted numerous works depicting the landscape of the surroundings of Santa Eulària des Riu, where he lived. The vast majority of his works are landscapes of fishermen in Ibiza.
