Remarkable pyramidal reliquary, in gilded wood, fixed on a reliquary base, with rocaille decorations. It houses rare insignia (humerus) relics of Saint Concord, Martyr. Our relic is centered in the middle of a rich montage of trimmings in gold and silver thread and richly decorated with pearls. At the base of the upper reliquary are two medallions, made of white wax, unfortunately difficult to identify because the waxes are degraded. On one, however, we can read, Rome Year 7 Emili V Mary.
The base of this room, under a fine veil, displays important relics of Saint Candide. Inviolate reliquary, because it is sealed on the back with 14 episcopal seals of red wax.
Provenance: Former cloister in South Tyrol, probably San Candid which was attached to the German province of Freising, which is mentioned on the wax seals
A work from the end of the 17th - beginning of the 18th century.
Good condition – note wear to wax and calligraphy.
Dimensions of 81 cm by 40 wide and 8 deep
