Attributed to the Boissettes Manufacture (1733 - 1781) Butter dish with floral decoration Hard porcelain with petit feu decoration of flowers Île de France, end of the 18th century H. 10; 31; 12.5 cm The butter dish is made up of a body including the receptacle for the butter and a lid. The whole is decorated with a decoration of flowers whose treatment and style is characteristic of the productions of the Boissettes factory near Melun. The lips have a gold decoration with a tooth pattern. The reverse has the mark of an old inventory trace in red. The Boissettes Manufacture, first an earthenware factory in 1733, became a porcelain factory in 1776. Due to lack of profitability, it ceased its activity in 1781.
