Adolphe Binet was a student of Constant Troyon and Jean-Léon Gérôme at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Qualified as a genre painter, he exhibited in Paris and Berlin. he executed several exquisite works for the Prefect's Office at the town hall. His works are present at the Louvre Museum or in the collection of Charles Ryskamp.
