"canivet" On Maple Leaf. Louis Philippe Period.
Canivet on maple leaf pinched between two panes of glass. Devotional object in memory of Daint Adélaide worked and decorated with a needle. Note the extreme finesse of the decoration, the creation of which required a lot of delicacy and patience; its frame is in cherry wood marquetry with ebony on a fir tree background. Object of great curiosity that we rarely encounter. Louis Philippe period. Around 1830.
