Beautiful collector's item, a testament to the art of tableware. Table egg dish in painted sheet metal decorated with a rich gilded decoration of arabesque motifs and neoclassical scrolls.
Oval-shaped body with two flat cut-out handles.
The two-part lid is fitted with gripping knobs and a central support rod. It rests on four small ball-shaped feet. Inside, a removable support allows 12 eggs to be kept in hot water.

Period: early 19th century.
Beautiful condition despite visible wear and alterations.
The gilded decoration is still very present.
