Pair of interesting vases with depictions of elegantly dressed Bijin women and children in a subtle landscape. The spout is decorated with an expressive pattern of chrysanthemums.

Enameled porcelain, hand painted.

Japan, Seto?, Meiji era (1868-1912). Signed: "水埜造 - Mizuno Zo/Made". Probably an artist from the 水野半次郎 family - Mizuno Hanjiro, whose 6th generation representative still produces his works in Seto today.

Height: 37 cm.

Very good state of conservation of one of the vases, the other has a crack visible in the photos.
