Beautiful old painting, oil on panel from the 18th century, representing an Italianate landscape, animated by characters leading a herd of goats under a ruined aqueduct at dusk. Beautiful composition reminiscent of the Roman countryside and the idealized landscapes of Jan Asselin. In a gilded wooden frame (slightly too large by 1/2 cm). Small old cracks, not serious, at the bottom of the panel, all in good condition, see photos. Total dimensions: 42 cm x 35 cm, the panel 31 cm x 24 cm.
