The bronze sculpture represents a young girl carrying two large jugs. Dressed in everyday attire, the girl appears to be walking carefully so as not to drop the heavy load. At the same time, she lifts her skirt with her left hand. The sculpture is executed with great naturalism.

Patinated bronze.

Realism, France, 2nd half of the 19th century. Signed “Drouot”.

Height 59 cm.

Good condition.

Edouard Drouot (1859-1945) was a French sculptor and painter. A graduate of the School of Decorative Arts and then the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he studied in particular with Mathurin Moreau, then exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français.
