Suite Of 8 Gondola Chairs In Solid Walnut, Art Deco - 1930

Beautiful set of chairs in solid walnut, resting at the front on two square sheathed legs, slightly moving downwards, with grooves. The rear feet are “sabres”. These are assembled with tenons and mortises at the belt, wide and rounded towards the rear. The seat is squared and has traditional straps. This is trimmed with green imitation leather studded around its edge. From each side of the belt there are wooden elements joining the top of the backrest, with cutouts and movement. The openwork backrest has a large vertical pilaster in its center. It is engraved with flowers and decorations typical of the art deco style.
