Emile Sabouraud-1900-1996 Composition with fruits, pitcher, bread Oil on canvas signed lower right Dated 1926 45 -Saint-Gervais, Sabouraud exhibits at the Salon des Indépendants, the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Tuileries. In Algiers, he was a resident of the Abd-el-Tif villa in 1935 and 1936. After his return to France, he joined the Painters of Poetic Reality. He was a professor at the Académie Julian in Paris in 1946 and at the National School of Decorative Arts from 1954 to 1970. He is the author of a theoretical work, La figuration (1979).
