Gaston Hausstrate born in 1878 in Brussels, died in 1949 in Brussels is a Belgian painter of city views, landscapes and portraits.
A student at the Brussels Academy, he specialized in the representation of the old quarters, dead ends and alleys of Brussels, treated in fluid games of shadow and light through bluish tones. Member of the Le Sillon group from 1899.
His paintings are in Brussels at the Museum of Ixelles, at the Charlier Museum and in Ostend at the Museum of Art aan Zee.
