The high-quality classic genre scene with two monks per study was executed in 1924 by the Austrian genre painter Ludwig Valenta (1893 Vienna - 1943 Rio de Janeiro/Brasilia). He studied at the Academy of Art in Vienna. Exhibition in Vienna in 1933. Emigrated to Rio de Janeiro in 1939.
