Compendium Circa 1820
Very nice game box from the beginning of the 19th century containing a solitaire game (with its rule), a jonchet game, a complete domino game of its 28 pieces, 4 bones and 4 dice, all in bone. A tangram game complete with its 7 Macassar pieces, a 9-pin game and a boxwood yo-yo. Also a set of 9 small puzzles on paper of 4 x 5.5 cm and a paper puzzle contained in a handwritten letter, this game has been added. As often at the time, the pieces carved in bone have small differences but are original. The mahogany box measures: 18.5 x 14.5 x 4 cm
