Canivet In The "sacred Heart" Epoque 18th Century
Delicate 18th century canivet in ecru paper on a pale blue silk background. Very pretty period frame in gilded wood with flowers and raised corners (some very acceptable wear to the gilding) In the center a flamboyant heart crowned in an oval medallion and the legend: "one alone hurts me" surrounded by a rich decoration of flowers, trellises, garlands etc. Very few flaws, visible in the detail photos. Old glass certainly changed. Protective cardboard on the back and closure with strips of gummed paper. Dimensions at sight: 17 cm X 25 cm.
