Beautiful dish covered with a crystallized glaze resembling ice crystals. The stripped-down décor and modern Art Nouveau shape with geometric legs seem to be looking to the future.

Nancy, around 1910. Signed "MOUGIN NANCY" and numbered "328 J".

Mougin - The Mougin brothers, Joseph (1876 - 1961) and Pierre (1880 - 1955), founded a ceramics factory in Nancy around 1900. Together with other famous artists of the Art Nouveau era in Nancy, they created many ceramic works, with varied decorations: floral, symbolist and, later, in the Art Deco era, also geometric.

Diameter 34.5 cm, height 8 cm.

Very good state of conservation.
