Pandolfo Reschi (born Pandolf Resch in Danzig, now Gdansk, in 1643 and died in Florence in 1696) is an Italian painter active in Italy.
Leaving for Rome when he was young, he became one of Giacomo Borgognone’s most skillful students. He painted battles and imitated the landscapes of Salvator Rosa. He also excelled in architectural perspective and views.
Arriving in Florence in the mid 1660s, he continued his studies of figure with Livio Mehus, Antonio Giusti and Pier Dandini1.
In 1670 he was hired by the court of the Medici and became a protégé of Cardinal Francesco Maria de' Medici, with whom he lived from 1680 until the end of his days. His paintings were greatly appreciated by the great families of the Tuscan nobility, especially the Corsini. He worked for the Uffizi Gallery under the direction of the Florentine scholar and architect Giacinto Marmi.
