Elegant, elaborately hand-crafted Louis XVI. Commode or Chest of Three Drawers from Austria/Vienna, late 18th Century around 1780-1800.
Walnut and cherry veneer with inlays in plum, maple, ebony and green-stained wood. Gold-leaf decorative strip above and below and ornaments in the middle. Original bronze fittings, newly gold-plated.
Large box lock on the central drawer that locks the other drawers up and down.
