Deer at the branch (n°1). Bronze proof with golden brown patina. Signed on the embankment "PJ MENE" PJ MENE (1810-1879), the most famous animal sculptor after BARYE. He exhibited at the Paris Salons from 1838 to 1878, and was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1861.
