Spectacular Antique French Sterling Silver Hors d'Oeuvre Serving Set by RISLER & CARRE. Complete with its original box, the set comprises 4 serving utensils with threaded borders and richly decorated with foliage, shells, and fantastic Mascarons / Greenman motifs surmounting the monogrammed handles. Masterly crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece is punched with the French Minerve 1st standard hallmark (.950) and mark of the Master Goldsmith widow RISLER & CARRE (hallmark with the initials "Vve R&C", a star and a square) active from 1897 to 1912. Service presented in its period box signed Risler & Carré and upholstered in beige velvet and silk. This spectacular Hors d'Oeuvre service is in excellent condition with just light signs of use to note, moreover revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, and presented in its original box.
