"Planter, Louis Majorelle And Victor Saglier, Art Nouveau, Paris Ca. 1900"
Remarkable silver-plated planter made in the workshops of Victor Saglier in Paris around 1900 after a design by the eminent Art Nouveau designer Louis Majorelle. Organic and asymmetrical floral ornaments cover the entire object. The legs and handles are also molded in the shape of a floral ornament. Majorelle had workshops for furniture and metallurgy, where he made furniture, accessories and lamps, while his goldsmith and haberdashery creations were made by the goldsmith house of Victor Saglier, with whom Majorelle collaborated in the early years of the 20th century. The last photo shows a product catalog from 1900-1903, with a planter model visible.
