An Empire Twelves Light Gilt Bronze Chandelier
In chiseled and gilded bronze, with twelve foliated sconces, each emerging from a rose or a swan alternating with fleurons surrounding a cup surmounted by Apollo holding a corm of plenty and held in place by chains, mounted on the 'electricity.
This chandelier is very similar to those of the famous bronzier Antoine-André Ravrio (1759-1814) preserved in the castle of St. Emmeran in Regensburg and those of the Munich Residence. Let us cite other examples such as the one located at the castle of Elligen. Another example quite close to our suspension was sold, Mica Salabert collection, Ader Tajan sale, George V hotel, Paris, June 8, 1993, lot 86.
