The French Revolution of 1830, also known as the July Revolution or “Les Trois Glorieuses”, was a revolution that took place in Paris from July 27 to 29, 1830. Some of the Parisians rose up against the very reactionary policy of the government of King Charles X. Contrary to the hopes of some of the rebels who would have liked the restoration of the republic, the July Revolution put an end to the Second Restoration, driving out the King Charles X, and establishing the July Monarchy, with King Louis-Philippe I cousin of the deposed king
