Two Orientalist Paintings Pierre Benoit (1886 - 1962) Painter Traveler Writer Art Deco Maroc
Two beautiful oils on Art Deco cardboard by the writer Pierre BENOÎT (Albi 1886 - Ciboure 1962).
Pierre Benoît, member of the French Academy, is the author of several famous adventure novels including "Atlantis" and "White Squadron".
They are presented in beautiful modern frames in gilded wood.
Both are signed by the painter’s monogram: P. B.and dated 1928.
The sketch bears an indication under the signature: "study for Agadir’s fiancée".
They can be sold separately even if I think it’s a shame not to keep them at the same time.
On the back of each oil, an original label mentions that these oils were painted during the stay of Pierre BENOÎT when he was invited by GLAOUI (sultan of Marrakech) in 1928.
Dimensions on sight: 45 x 37 cm
Dimensions with frame: 57 x 49 cm
Photos are taken in natural light.
Neat packaging.
Shipping costs borne by the buyer.
I remain at your disposal for any further information and photos.
