Pewter Oil Clock (tin) - Besançon Or Fribourg, 18th Century

Very rare OIL CLOCK in pewter with barrel with median knot and rings, large pedestal molded in bowl, equipped with two spouts with articulated valves complete with their sheet iron burner and a ribbed blown glass reserve surrounded by a band graduated hour with grip ring.
Unidentified maker's mark: crowned hammer / BT
Height: 36.5 cm.
Besançon or Fribourg, Beginning of the 18th century.

Perfect condition
Bears the old label from the "Les arts de la table" exhibition in Paris in 1993.
An identical model was sold for €3,240 including tax on 06/12/2017 by Me Morel in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges
This model has been encountered identically bearing the hallmarks of Besançon and Fribourg; the typology of the maker's mark confirms this attribution of provenance.
