Beautiful Mosaic In Relief Glass Venice End XIX S
The mosaic is a 24x18 cm oval inserted in a Belgian black marble slab with 4 rounded sides of 29x23 cm, all inside a 49x43 cm gilded wooden frame.
The mosaic represents in the foreground a dove, a symbol of peace, above an anchor and a background dotted with flowers fl.
The dove is salient with respect to the background of the mosaic.
This technique was very popular in Venice between the end of the 19th century and the 1930s.
Some traces of dirt, but in very good condition.
