Recent proof of a Renaissance period fireback decorated with a phoenix, a symbol of eternity and regeneration, the phoenix on its stake comes back to life, hence its motto "FLAMES ARE FLOWERS OR I REPREN MY LIFE", its background is decorated with foliage and a frieze of roughened canals frames it.
