Table XIX Marine by Charles Euphrasie KUWASSEG 1833-1904 Known and renowned French painter, specialized in landscapes, in the movement of the Barbizon School, his favorite subject, the Breton and Norman ports, as well as the Medr du Nord and the Alpine towns. In 1855 Kuwasseg exhibited regularly at the salon where he obtained numerous awards, thereafter he became an art teacher. He masters the art of contrast and demonstrates great finesse in his execution. Many of his works are kept at the Museum of Fine Arts in Rouen, Rennes, Fécamp, Musée des Pêcheries and at the Maltwood Art Museum Canada.
