Late 19th-century oil painting on canvas depicting a young girl, signed Georges Mouton. Georges Mouton was a French artist born in Rennes in 1862 and died in 1924. He exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1893 until around 1920, where he received a silver medal. Known for his landscapes and genre scenes of Algeria, where he spent 16 years, this charming portrait of a young girl is all the more rare.
