Old Padlock & Key, Copper, Brass & Iron, Mauritania Circa 1900

Very nice old padlock, composed of a copper and brass cube, where the mechanism is hidden. It is alternately decorated with diamonds and hearts. Above, the iron latch, and below the chain on which is attached the key in the same 3 materials. We enter the end in the hole, a small turn to the left and the padlock opens.
Very good general condition, we note all the same a reinforcement with tin, clearly visible on my detailed photos.
Working from North Africa, probably Mauritania, antique, Circa 1900 or a little later. Dimensions: 16.5cm x 4cm
