Gold Brooch, Pearls And Cameo On Agate. Nineteenth Century.
Cameo on beige agate representing a young woman in profile looking to the right. The artist has finely sculpted the white vein of the agate to release this delicate profile. This young woman is represented in a 17th century costume whose dress ends in a lace collar. This lady of quality has her hair up in a bun and wears a tiara and a pair of earrings and a necklace. The frame is finely chiseled, hemmed with a black enamel net and set with fine half-pearls. Gold hallmark: eagle head. 18 karat.
