Object description :

"Pair Of Armchairs Louis XV Period"
Pair of armchairs with flat backs in molded and carved beech, Louis XV period. They are decorated with flowers and foliage. The armrest consoles are whiplashed. They rest on four arched feet with nets decorated with flowers and leafy clogs. Beautiful silk velvet upholstery with caramel-colored peony patterns. Parisian work stamped Michel Gourdin said the young who obtained his Master's degree in 1752 and practiced for thirty years rue de Cléry. His stamp appears on furniture at the Mobileir National, which suggests that he could have been one of the Crown's suppliers.
