Still Life of Flowers in Japan Satsuma Vase was executed by the listed Austrian landscape painter, still life painter as well as printmaker Karl Tucek (1889 - Vienna - 1952). He studied at the Vienna Academy under Sigmund the German, Franz Rumpler and Ferdinand Schmutzer. He started exhibiting in 1914 in Vienna and then had numerous exhibitions from 1947 to 1976. Karl Tucek was a member of the artist unit "Vienna Native Art".

The artist is listed in: "Austrian Painters of the 19th/20th century" by Prof. H.Fuchs, , Vienna, 1977.
