2 Amazing Table Menu Holders, Japan Late Nineteenth

Two interesting reliefs from pewter or antimony, gold, silver and black patina, on back, a hinged easel, they stand on table, and allow to present a card bearing the menu of day.
These two are superb, one full of charm, showing two welcoming women, traditional dress in Japan at period, the other shows one superb butterfly with colored patina, and two flowering quails;
Beautiful objects, for export to France, at the time of the great exhibitions 1880.... the merchant had left his references, and his price: 2.50F ...... Take a good look at the photos....
