"Large Kirman Carpet Made In Silk, Iran, 19th Century."
Large and rare Kirman rug made of natural silk, same as its foundations: warps, weft and fringes. Characterized by a beautiful freshness of colors, and a remarkable finesse. Silk kirmans are increasingly rare and not widely found in international markets. With an ivory-colored field centered by a large medallion, two pendants encrusted with a thousand flowers and a second polychrome floral central medallion, adorned with two spear points, on a ruby background forming four spandrels reminiscent of the central medallion. Consists of four borders, the main one being ruby in color with polychrome floral palmettes. Density: between 10,000 to 11,000 knots per dm2. Measurements: Length: 211cm Width: 120cm
