"Rare Small Buffet In Solid Walnut, Restoration Period - Early Nineteenth"
Rare in-between piece of furniture in solid walnut, with two doors with a mitred frame, slightly molded, accompanied by quarter-rounds inside the frame. In the center of each door, we find two seamless panels worked in development. The right door has an original lock with key in working order and recessed brass entry. The two doors come together with a light reed-shaped molding. Inside, we discover a storage space consisting of a shelf on a cleat. Above, a drawer in a frame, slightly in advance compared to the rest of the facade, also opens with a lock and an original key. The interior, the sides, the bottoms of the drawers are in oak, as well as the back of the cabinet. The low crosspiece of this sideboard is underlined around its perimeter by a small rod. The set is supported by ball feet at the front. The top is formed by a panel in the center surrounded by a frame. The charm and elegance of this piece of furniture with rare dimensions will seduce you, as well as its beautiful patina highlighting the nuanced colors of its wood essence. ******* Period: Early 19th century Excellent interior and exterior condition after restoration in our workshop.
