Mahogany Bouillotte Table, Louis XVI Period - Eighteenth flag

Object description :

"Mahogany Bouillotte Table, Louis XVI Period - Eighteenth"
Bouillotte table in solid and veneered mahogany dating from the beginning of the 18th century. Its wide mahogany-veneered belt, dressed in quarter-round brass rods, has two drawers with chiseled rings and two shelves with bronze buttons. The top is topped with white Carrara marble surrounded by an openwork brass gallery. Its stopper, with a wooden veneer frame, is reversible. The latter is dark with a red leather with cold stamp and gold on one side and a burgundy felt with braid on the other side. The set rests on four sheathed and rudenté solid mahogany legs, embellished with collars in the upper part and ending in roller shoes. This 300-year-old hot water bottle table will appeal for its refined lines and its space-saving dimensions. ******** Period: 18th century Excellent condition.
