The decoration in polychrome enamels is typical of the Mandarin style of the end of the 19th century. Each vase illustrates scenes from the life of courtiers against a background of dense plant motifs. At the neck, handles in the shape of Fô dogs and on the shoulders golden chimeras adorn each vase.
